Wayfarer Cafe sits on Osmaston Road, a short walk from the heart of Osmaston. We're a café in the traditional sense: no fuss, no queue-and-collect systems, just a table, a menu and someone to bring your food over.
Mornings start early. The grill is on from 7am and breakfast runs the length of the day we're open — full English, vegetarian breakfasts, eggs done properly, and toast that arrives hot. Later on it's cobs, sandwiches, hot lunches and whatever cake has come out of the kitchen.
Being independent means we can be flexible. If you need something adjusting, a vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free option, or a big order for the office, have a word with the team and we'll see what we can do.
Most of all, we're a local café for local people. Families, workers, regulars and first-timers all end up at the same tables — and that's exactly how we like it.
